Best Buy marketing manager John Bernier has chimed in via his Twitter account to say that the Pre is $199 and that the “error is being corrected. That’s $100 less than the previous price. As usual, purchasing a phone at Best Buy also means that you don’t need to futz around with a mail-in rebate, all rebates are instant. So far there is nothing to indicate that this new price-point is going to remain permanent,You better grab one quick, just in case. Will Sprint sell the Pre for $99 on contract too?
