Download and install - Update Galaxy S3 LTE I9305 with Official Jellybean 4.1.1 XXALI5 Firmware

Step-By-Step Instructions:
Step 1 - Download Android 4.1.1 I9305XXALI5 for Galaxy S3 to your computer and extract the zip file.
Step 2 - Download ODIN v1.85 which will help you to install Android 4.1.1 on Samsung Galaxy S3 I9305.
Step 3 - Switch OFF your phone. Now go to Download Mode. How? Press and hold the Volume Down + Home buttons together, and then press the Power button till you see the construction Android robot and a triangle. Press Power again to confirm to enter into Download Mode.
Step 4 - Make sure you have your Galaxy S3 USB drivers installed on your computer.
Step 5 - Open ODIN on your computer. Connect your phone to your computer while your phone is in the Download Mode.
Step 6 - If your phone is connected successfully, one of the ID:COM boxes will turn yellow with the COM port number. This step might take some time.
Step 7 - Now select the files that you have to flash/install on your phone. These files are to be found from the extracted files in Step 1.
  • Click on ‘PDA’ and select file with ‘CODE’ in its name.
  • Click on ‘Phone’ and select file with ‘MODEM’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
  • Click on ‘CSC’ and select file with CSC’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
  • Click on ‘PIT’ and select the .pit file. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Step 8 - In ODIN, check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options. As for the Re-Partition option, check it ONLY if you selected a .PIT file in the above step.
Step 9 - Now click on the Start button in ODIN. Installation process will start and would take a few minutes to complete.
Step 10 - After the installation is completed, your phone will restart. After you see the home screen, unplug your phone from the computer.
That’s it. Your Samsung Galaxy S III LTE has now been updated to Android 4.1.1 build XXALI5 firmware update. Go to Settings > About phone to verify.

How to Update Galaxy GIO S5660 with XWKT7 based Adrenaline Custom ROM Firmware

Procedure to Update Galaxy GIO S5660 with Adrenaline Firmware:
  • Disconnect the phone from computer and turn Off the device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. The recovery mode in the Galaxy GIO S5660 can be entered by Holding Menu Button and then Power ON the device. If the device turns ON in the normal mode then you need to try again to enter into the recovery mode. Additionally, you can also enter the Galaxy GIO in the recovery mode from the ROM Manager app.

How to Update Galaxy S2 GT I9100 with Official ICS XWLPX 4.0.4 Firmware

Procedure to Update Galaxy S2 with ICS XWLPX Firmware:
  • Download XWLPX Firmware Package and Odin from here to your computer. Once downloaded, extract both the zip files preferably to the desktop. Now, turn off the computer so that it can be then entered in the download mode.
  • Download mode in Galaxy S II GT I9100 can be entered by pressing Volume down Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button after which a green robot will be shown indicating the Download Mode has been entered.
  • Open Odin in your computer. Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will see that the ID : COM Section will turn Yellow.
Note: If ID : COM section doesn’t turn Yellow, you need to check with two things which are mentioned below,
  • Install the USB Drivers in your computer &
  • Go to the Path “Settings > Wireless & Network > USB Settings” and ensure that “Samsung KIES” option is ticked before connecting the phone to the computer.
  • Click on “PDA” and select the tar file which you got after extracting the firmware update package. After selecting the PDA file, click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. As soon as the device is updated successfully, the device will be restarted. As soon as you see the home screen or language preference setting options, you can then disconnect the device and turn Off the device in the recovery mode.
  • Recovery mode in Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 can be entered by holding the Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, turn ON your device.
  • In recovery mode, select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition” for clearing out all the cache data present in your device. Once it’s done, select “reboot system now”. As soon as the device is rebooted, you can check the same whether the firmware update has been applied or not from the path “Settings > About phone > Firmware version” where it will be mentioned as XWLPX.
Note: Just in a rare case if the device is not updated and it gets into the boot loop mode, you need to again clear the cache from the recovery mode and retry the whole process from the start.

Procedure to Update Galaxy ACE S5830i with Simplicity Custom ROM Firmware:
  • Download Simplicity Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your Samsung Galaxy ACE 5830i with the computer and place this file in your device.
  • After placing the files, disconnect the Galaxy ACE 5830i device and turn off the device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. Ensure that you haven’t placed the zip file deep into the sub folders.
  • The recovery mode in the Galaxy ACE S5830i can be entered by Holding Menu Button and then Power ON the device. How to Update Galaxy Note N7000 with Official ICS 4.0.4 XXLRQ Firmware

This all new firmware version ropes in the goodness of gallery which was there for the TIZEN OS. This update has been officially rolled out for the users of Germany and in the coming days, the same will be pushed to other countries. As of now this update can only be applied to the N7000 International version of Galaxy Note, but in the coming days it will be extended to other operator devices as well.
The best part of this update is that it’s an official firmware update released by Samsung and not the custom ROM firmware and can be applied to all the devices which have the model number as N7000. This update should not be applied on the network locked devices as it will then brick the device for which we should not be held responsible.

  • Open Odin tool in your computer and turn Off your phone so that it can be then entered in the download mode. The download mode in Galaxy Note can be entered by pressing  Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Up key to continue entering the Download Mode.
  • Click on “PDA” to select “N7000XXLRQ_N7000DBTLRQ_N7000XXLRK_HOME.tar.md5” and then click on Start to start the process of firmware update for updating the firmware. The process of firmware update will take around 4 – 5minutes. Once it’s done, the device will be rebooting on its own, you can see the progress bar which will indicate the progress of firmware update.
  • Disconnect the device and follow the on screen instructions so as to use the device in the normal mode. Just in case if you are getting force close errors, turn off the device and enter the device in the recovery mode. In recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of Volume rocker keys.
Note: Just in a rare case if your Samsung device refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the Samsung Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from beginning.

  • Download the Remics Custom ROM Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your phone to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then place the zip file in your device. Disconnect the device and turn off the phone so that it can be entered in recovery mode. The recovery mode can be entered by pressing the Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button.
  • In the recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the Remics Custom ROM Firmware Package which is placed in the phone. It will take around 3 – 4 minutes for applying the update. Also, you will see that the device might just stay on the S Logo for more than 3 -4 minutes.
  • Once the update process is completed, the device will again land back to the recovery screen. In the recovery screen, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the system. If in any case if you come across the force close errors then all you need to do is to just enter the device in the recovery mode and wipe all the cache data as well as wipe all the data present in your device.
Tip: Just in case if due to some reasons if the update process gets failed or interrupted, then you need to apply the update again by following the steps again from the start. Don’t forget to restore the backup which you have taken in the initial steps.

  • Download the Omega 15 Custom ROM firmware package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your phone to the compute with the help of original USB cable and place the zip file in your phone.
  • Now, disconnect the device and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. You can enter the device in the recovery mode via the ROM Manager app or manually. Select the Omega 15 Firmware Zip file which you have placed in your phone with the help of Volume keys and power button.
  • Now, wait for the firmware update to get applied successfully and once its done the phone will land up in the recovery mode screen where all you need to do is to just select the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the device normally.
  • Please note that it may take longer time than expected for rebooting the device. If the device gets stuck in the S Logo for longer period of time then you need to re insert the battery and re follow all the above mentioned instructions.

To check on whether the firmware is applied successfully or not, you will have to check the same from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where it will be shown as Jellybean 4.1.1 Firmware Update.

  • From the path “Settings > About Tablet > Firmware Version” you can check on whether the firmware has been updated or not as it will show the current firmware as ICS 4.0.4 firmware version.

  • Download the MIUI 2.4.20 Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your phone to the computer with thehelp of original USB cable and place these two files in your Galaxy GIO.
  • Disconnect the USB Cable and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. The recovery mode in the Galaxy GIO S5660 can be entered by Holding Menu Button and then Power ON the device. If the device turns ON in the normal mode then you need to try again to enter into the recovery mode. Additionally, you can also enter the Galaxy GIO in the recovery mode from the ROM Manager app.
  • In the recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the MIUI 2.4.20 Zip file which is placed in the phone.
  • Once the update process is completed, the device will again land back to the recovery screen. In the recovery screen, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the system. If the phone refuses to show the home screen even after 5 minutes of restart, you need to then reinsert the battery.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.

To check now on whether the firmware has been updated or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” and see whether it reads XXDLI7 firmware version 4.1.1 or not.   • Download the Ehndroix custom ROM firmware along with the Add On package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, you will then have to connect your Galaxy S GT I9001 PLUS device to computer with the help of original USB cable and place these two zip files in your device.
  • Disconnect  the device and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. Recovery mode in Galaxy S PLUS I9001 can be entered by holding the Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, turn ON your device.
  • In recovery mode, select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition”. Additionally, select “advanced” and clear the Dalvik cache too if you are on the custom ROM firmware.

Ensure that you have cleared the cache in your device as it will wipe all the unwanted data from the recovery mode just in case if you face any force close issues in any of the Google Apps or the core apps present in your device.
