Nokia RD-3 LTE internet modem finally unveiled with based this on their own LTE modem technology development.

is available to use with LTE together with other various network vendors, operators and measurement equipment manufacturers. We are all aware that Nokia is committed to supporting industry activities aimed at growing the LTE technology in order to enable the first commercial networks in 2010, as stated by Jani Maenpaa, Project Manager.

“Nokia is committed to supporting industry activities aimed at maturing LTE technology to enable the first commercial networks to launch in 2010. Nokia is a founding member in the LTE/SAE Trial Initiative (LSTI) and carries out interoperability testing with a number of network vendors, collaborates with measurement equipment manufacturers and is ready to support operators with their LTE deployment activities. The Nokia Internet Modem RD-3 is used in all these activities,” declared Jani Mäenpää, Project Manager, LTE/SAE Interoperability and Trials, Nokia.


Nokia RD-3 LTE internet modem , the device supports multiple LTE frequency bands, as well as interoperability with GSM/EDGE and WCDMA/HSPA networks.

Reportedly, the Nokia Internet Modem RD-3 is ready to be used in LTE trials by operators around the world (Verizon might be interested in this, since it has already completed LTE data calls).
