Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Palm’s webOS 1.2 update is now officially available to the public. This latest firmware mostly includes bug fixes and enhancements most notable of which is support for purchasing of paid apps in the App Catalog. Apart from that, it also now supports heterogeneous Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) policies and LinkedIn syncing in Palm Synergy. There are numerous other feature changes including cut/paste in email and web pages in webOS 1.2 all of which are listed here as well as instructions no how to update your Bell Palm Pre’s firmware.

It’s quite a hefty update at 79MB so be sure you’ve got enough battery life on your Palm Pre and some extra time on your hands so that it’ll download and install without any hitches. Once you’re done, do hit us up in the comments section below as we’d love to hear your take on Palm’s latest webOS software.
